As some of you lovely ducklings are aware, we have launched a new foundation to tackle the unseen barriers that disabled people experience on a daily basis.
We are blunt, straight to the point and do not mince our words but that is what is needed to make real change. For far too long, accessibility has looked only at what can be physically seen and never looked deeper at the needs and requirements of people living with unseen symptoms. We are a community of disabled people who deserve better so lets stand together and make real change.
Our Crowdfunder is now live: Dismantling Invisible Barriers.
We’re making real progress, supporting individuals one-to-one, consulting with NHS boards, and laying the groundwork for what we call the Third Wave in Disability Theory. This means tackling the invisible barriers and attitudes that keep disabled people shut out, even when the surface looks accessible.
Even a small donation can go a long way in helping us deliver trauma-informed training, create sensory-safe spaces, and bring Cùran’s voice to life. Check out our reward tiers, every pledge comes with something meaningful in return.
If you can’t donate right now, we understand. But sharing this campaign could still change lives. Help us get the word out, reach more people, and push for the change we urgently need.
Let’s dismantle invisible barriers together.
